ABOUT ME
I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Minnesota. I transferred into the pre-apparel program after my second year as a Biology major. I’ve had an interest in fashion for as long as I could remember. I deeply value this art form that gives individuals the power to express themselves and their personalities as well. As a designer, fashion allows me to experiment with and showcase my own style and personality through my work. Much of my inspiration comes from trends, but more specifically it’s about how I interpret them and turn it into something more personal serving as a form of self expression. In the future, a goal of mine is to incorporate my culture into my work as well. Designing apparel also has the power to address many prevalent issues seen today, like sustainability, gender equality, and mental and physical wellbeing.
